Oakley Hall
Oakley Hall enjoys a distinguished history that dates back almost 225 years. Events can be conducted in one of seven furnished rooms in the main hall or in the marquee in the garden. Oakley Hall plays host to many weddings, civil ceremonies, conferences and corporate events while guests can enjoy afternoon tea and restaurant dining while overlooking the grounds. Bluebeckers North Warnborough
Bluebeckers Mill House can be found alongside the river Whitewater just outside of Basingstoke. The current pub building dates back to the 1800s and the adjoining barn is licensed for weddings. Enquiries are taken on 01256 702 953.
The Vine At Hannington
The Vine at Hannington is a traditional country pub situated in the Hampshire countryside. The Vine offers a menu of home cooked pub food at affordable rates with some of the herbs and salads grown in the pub's garden. After enjoy a meal and drink why not explore the neighbouring countryside that makes up part of the Hampshire Downs.
Tylney Hall
Tylney Hall is another wonderful country house hotel surrounded by rolling countryside. Tylney Hall is in Rotherwick which is a just a few miles drive from Basingstoke on the road to Reading. The mansion is Grade II listed and is set in 62 acres of attractive landscaped grounds. There are 112 bedrooms including some with four poster beds. Many of the rooms overlook the gardens and woodland.
The Deangate Inn, Basingstoke
Another of our favourite locals, the Deangate Inn found fame for allegedly stabling Jane Austen's horses at one time! Whether this actually happened or not we can't be certain but in any case you can enjoy a pint or glass of wine with some freshly prepared food in a traditional pub atmosphere. Rain Forest Cafe, London
And now for something completely different! The Rain Forest Cafe can be found on Shaftesbury Avenue in London. This is a great place for kids' parties, birthdays or to begin a night on the town. Rainforest Cafe has food ranging from sea food to pastas and pizzas all served in a themed 'rainforest' hall that includes animated wildlife, waterfalls and fauna and plants that give the impression that you could be eating out somewhere in the Amazon! Odiham
Located just a few miles from Basingstoke the town of Odiham was first documented in the Domesday Book in 1086. Odiham's high street is lined with many historic buildings and has managed to retain an unspoiled market town setting. Visitors will discover that there is a wide choice of restaurants and pubs to be found along the high street including Chinese and Indian establishments as well as the George Hotel and Restaurant. The Waterwitch pub lies on the banks of the Basingstoke Canal and can be a lovely place to enjoy a drink on a sunny day. After your meal why not take a stroll along the canal to discover the remains of King John's Castle in North Warnborough.
